Sally Aerts, PT, MPH

Sally Aerts, PT, MPH is the Falls Prevention Specialist at the Utah Department of Health. Utah received a grant from the Administration on Community Living to expand its older adult falls prevention program. In addition to Stepping On community classes, the falls prevention program includes coordinating with Trauma One centers and EMS providers to reduce older adult falls, and developing linkages between community programs and healthcare providers.

After owning a Physical Therapy clinic for more than 10 years, Sally enrolled in the Master of Public Health program at the University of Washington.

When she is not working, Sally enjoys spending time hiking, bicycling and exploring Utah with her husband



Julie M. Davis, BS, BA​

Julie M. Davis, BA, BS is a Continuing Medical Education Coordinator for Intermountain Healthcare and is responsible for planning, budgeting, organizing, implementing, and evaluating system-wide CME Activities. She acts as a project manager with a high degree of autonomy for a year portfolio of medical-education activities directed at physicians and other healthcare professionals.

She has worked to help provide educational opportunities to learners for over 20 years. Julie started with Intermountain Healthcare at Primary Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Education Services department as an Assistant Coordinator of Continuing Medical Education (CME). Two years later, she moved to the corporate office in the Intermountain Healthcare Continuing Medical Education Department as a CME Coordinator.

Outside of work you’ll find Julie somewhere in the outdoors with her husband and canines.​



Kristen E. Gooch, MPH, RN

Kristen Elena Gooch, MPH, RN, is the Trauma Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator at Intermountain Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center in Salt Lake City, UT. She is involved with providing education to the community focusing on preventing injuries such as; elderly falls, helmet use, distracted driving and seat belt safety. She collaborates with many other hospital disciplines as well as local and national organizations to improve public health. In addition, she provides educational outreach to local Emergency Medical Services and surrounding hospitals.

She worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for several years and recently graduated with a Masters Degree in Public Health from Westminster College.

When she is not at work she loves spending time outside with her family, friends and dogs.

SarahAnn S. Whitbeck, MBA, CHCP, is the Director of Continuing Medical Education for Intermountain Healthcare with responsibilities including design, development, and overall direction associated with Intermountain’s system-wide interdisciplinary, accredited education program, including the day-to-day operations of the department. She has been in professional continuing education for over 7 years and with Intermountain since February 2002.

SarahAnn received her master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received her Certified Continuing Medical Education Professional designation in 2012.

She currently represents the American Hospital Association on the ACCME Accreditation Review Committee. She also chairs the Membership Committee and sits on the Finance Committee for the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions.  She is also part of the University of Utah Business Alumni Association Board of Directors.​

In her non-working time, SarahAnn is focused on representing the Hydrocephalus Association in the state of Utah and surrounding area; this includes fundraising, advocacy and lobbying, and community support networking for patients and families living with hydrocephalus in Utah and surrounding area.​
