CME Broadcast FAQs

  • The embedded video player isn’t working properly?
    • There could be any number of problems that could be causing issues with the video player. Try the following suggestions to get your video player working:
      • Restart your browser
      • Empty the cache memory on your browser
      • Run updates on your browser
      • Update your Flash Player with the most recent version
      • Intermountain Employees can try to log into VPN or Secure access
      • Change to another browser
    • Most issues reside with your computer, browser or firewall (if you are connecting from a secure location like a hospital). If none of the above suggestions help, contact your IT professional for further assistance. We strive to make sure that all issues are covered, but sometimes they are beyond our control or abilities to help.
  • Windows Media Player isn’t working properly?
    • Windows media can be problematic at times because it does not play that same on all systems. The live stream is mostly relying on the media player that is installed on the operating system and if something is not setup right on your computer, it may result in not working properly. Try the following suggestions to get your video player working:
      • Make sure you have a good connection to the Internet
      • Make sure the Windows Media Player is properly working and setup
      • Try replacing the prefix in the stream URL from mms:// to http://
      • Make sure your router isn’t blocking the stream
      • Try downloading VLC Player if nothing else works

Online Materials FAQs

  • Some of the presentations on the online agenda are not available?
    • All available presentations can be accessed on the online agenda by clicking on the hyperlinked talk title. If a presentation is not available online, it is most likely due to one of the following reasons:
      • Presentations are uploaded onto the online agenda once the presenter has given their agenda to the CME team.
      • Some presentations are not available online until after the presentation has been given.
      • In some instances, presenters have sensitive subject matter that cannot be shared outside of the conference, and can therefore not be displayed online.
  • Where is the audio/video for the presentations?
    • The online agenda is a paperless method to provide attendees with their own copy of the presentations given, but does not include an audio/video element. If the course planning committee has requested the conference to be recorded, an eCME version of the conference will be available online within 8 weeks after the original conference occurred.
