Leadership Methods Training

This 3 hour training will focus on the following:

  1. Understanding Zero Harm
  2. Leading Zero Harm Change (techniques of leading with safety, reinforcing and building accountability, principles of effective rounding, and methods to find and fix problems)
  3. Leading Safety Conversations
  4. Introduction into Error Prevention Tools and Techniques 

The training is geared towards: Healthcare Performance Improvement; LLC; (HPI) staff; Intermountain Executive implementation leads—CEO, CMO, CNO, Quality & Patient Safety CO and Regional Directors; Performance Improvement Regional Directors; Medical staff champions and medical staff department heads; facility integration leads; directors; managers; supervisors; coordinators; charge nurses; any individuals who lead work in there are; and board members as available.

Upon completion of this training, participants should be able to:

  • Define values and expectations for Zero Harm
  • Identify Principles to lead a Zero Harm Culture
  • Demonstrate and practice how to lead safety conversations
  • Practice specific techniques and expectation for Rounding
  • Describe Error Prevention Tools and Techniques and the situation in which tools are initiated
